Introducing cloud storage for backups. BackupEDGE
is the first commercial UNIX and Linux backup product with fully integrated support for the Amazon Web Services S3 storage service. When we say "fully integrated support", we mean:
- Full or partial backups of servers or parts of servers with dual data integrity checking (bit-level + full file checksum).
- Instant File Restore™, providing access to individual files and folders in seconds. Only the archive blocks containing the actual data you want to restore need to be transmitted across the
network link.
- Full compatibility with RecoverEDGE bare metal disaster recovery.
- No caching of entire backups on the local hard drive. Only a small (50MB) segment of your backup gets cached into memory at any one time.
- Compression and encryption support.
