BackupEDGE SS ™ commercial backup and bare metal disaster recovery software for systems running Linux and UNIX, will include complete automatic update facilities."

- Administrators can interactively check the Microlite update servers for new releases from within the BackupEDGE SS menu system. If a newer release is found, they can choose to examine the list of
new features, then optionally download and install the new release automatically.
- BackupEDGE SS
can set up a scheduled task to check for and optionally cache upgrades, then notify the administrator.
- Installation, update and backup scheduling can also be performed through Caldera Volution Manager beginning with this release.
