In response to requests from our partners and clients, Microlite Corporation is migrating the way we distribute our products to an
electronic licensing model. Most clients and partners simply download the release and purchase the license during the 60 day "demo" window.Within a few months, you'll be able to purchase licenses and get
them in PDF format via email, completely dispensing with physical packaging (assuming you are downloading distributions). If you wish, you'll be able to buy a separate "media kit".
In the interim, we've changed as follows.
New United States distributions now consist of:
- a printed license form containing a serial number and End User License Agreement for the version you are ordering.
- a Media Kit consisting of a CDROM with all of our product versions, plus all of the documentation in PDF form.
Outside the United States, the media kit and printed license form are sold separately. Download your distribution from our web site, or purchase a media kit from your reseller, distributer or master
distributor.
The CD may be mounted in a UNIX or Linux box to install, or placed in a standard PC to browse the documentation.
The Media Kit is a thin folder with the CD inside, allowing easy and
inexpensive mailing and shipping.
This will be the distribution format for the next few months.
Following that, the serial number and End User License Agreement will be distributed electronically, and
the Media Kit will become an optional, extra cost item worldwide. The Media Kits can also be ordered separately for trade shows, presentations, etc.
